Answer: f (x) + b shifts the function b units upward.

f (x) – b shifts the function b units downward.

f (x + b) shifts the function b units to the left.

f (x – b) shifts the function b units to the right.

–f (x) reflects the function in the x-axis (that is, upside-down)
