13. You take 4 and 1/3 and turn it into an improper fraction: 13/3
Then you take 3 and put it over one: 3/1
Then you multiply both together: 13/3•3/1=39/3
After you get your answer you turn this fraction back into a mixed number. 3 goes into 39 thirteen times.
