The quotient of two numbers is 17, and their sum is 36. what are the two numbers?

Let, the numbers = a, b

a/b = 17
a = 17b

& a + b = 36
17b + b = 36
18b = 36
b = 36/18
b = 2

So, a = 17(2) = 34

In short, Your Numbers would be: 2 & 34
